| One
of the most difficult problems to deal with in women's health
is the problem of sexual dysfunction. Over the years only minimal
amounts of research has been done on the subject and the current
conventional therapeutic options are few. But despite this paucity
in research the prevalence of female sexual dysfunction appears
to be great. According to a recent study in the Journal of the
American Medical Association, 4 of 10 women and 3 of 10 men
experience sexual problems. The most common problems reported
by women were low sexual desire (22%), problems with arousal
(14%), and pain during intercourse (7%).
