Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) & Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PDD)

Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) & Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PDD) - Treatment

In our center many women whom have failed standard treatment obtain complete relief by a more holistic approach taken for the treatment of PMS. Most conventional physicians immediately start patients off on a cocktail of various drugs SSRI type anti-depressive like Prozac and benzodiapines (sedative/hypnotic) like ativan or xanax.

In our center we follow a multitried holistic approach trying to find what the body needs, and what are the causative factors. First starting with dietary and lifestyle change in addition to targeted vitamin, mineral and amino acid supplementation followed by herbal support. When these simpler measures don't show complete relief then bio-identical hormone replacement with natural progesterone can be tried. Medications such as SSRI antidepressant are used only in cases of severe PDD as a last resort.
